“I was Mikes high school basketball coach at Clinton, OK from 1966-69. I was also an assistant football coach during that time. Mike was an absolute “warrior” in any athletic event he participated in, practice or game. I am not sure that I have ever been around a competitor like him in my 40 years of coaching. While he excelled in athletics, he was a well grounded young man and student. Mike has always been one of my favorites . I wish I had a gym full of people like him every year. RIP Mike.”
