With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William David Chapman (Silver Creek, Georgia), born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence Chapman; and his siblings, Betty Heath, Lois Carter, Diane Chapman and Donald Chapman.

He is survived by: his parent Onie Mae Chapman; his wife Shirley Ann Boatner Godfrey; his children, Sarah Godfrey Easton, Taylorsville, Kathy Chapman Denton, Sharon Godfrey "Boo" Smith (Jimmy), Aragon, Jeffrey David Chapman and William Keith Godfrey (Amy); and his siblings, Shirley Gentry, Mardine Baker and Terry Chapman of Rome. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
