He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ulmer and Mabel Van Dine Ulmer; his siblings, Kathryn and Horace Ulmer; and his brother-in-law Albert Konczyk.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Cragle Ulmer; his children, Cynthia Roshak (Michael), Daniel Ulmer (Mary) and Linda Mitchell (Dru); his grandchildren, Jennifer Roshak, Brian Roshak, Kyle, Trevor, Nicole McCormick, Kayla Hensel and Karissa Hensel; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Boston, Lucas Roshak His and Jane Konczyk.
