He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Taylor Tanner; his wife Rowena Ann Payne Tanner; his sons, Robert Lee Tanner, Jr., Timothy Isaac Tanner and Michael Joseph Tanner; and his siblings, James Tanner, II, Dewayne Tanner and Tonya Tanner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
