He was predeceased by: his mother Mattie Lizzie Sellars Lanthrip; and his siblings, Larry J. Lanthrip, Connie L. Usry, Dale L. Davis, Pat L. Baucom and Betty L. Williford.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Baucom Lanthrip; his children, Marlie J. "Jake" Lanthrip III of Sandersville, Monica L. Swint (Jamie) of Sandersville and Audrey Lanthrip (Jon Sheley) of Davisboro; his parent Chris Lanthrip; his foster son Trent Hannah; his grandchildren, Austin Swint (Megan), Matt Swint, Kristen Swint, Jakob Lanthrip, Vada Lanthrip, Parker J. Lanthrip and Cain Sheley; his great grandchildren, Carlee and Lainey Swint; and his sister Elaine Lanthrip. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
