It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Hammond Jr. of Sandersville, Georgia, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Benjamin Hammond, Sr. and Dorothy Steuer Hammond; and his sister Marcia Hammond. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Hammond Kent (Mark) of Sandersville; his grandchildren, Brittney Crow (Allison) of Warner Robins, Mark Austin Burgamy (Amanda) of Sandersville, Sianna Hammond of Sandersville and Gage Hammond of Sandersville; his great grandchildren, Aiden Votipka, Ashton Burgamy and Liam Burgamy; his siblings, Barbara Horton of Pensecola, FL, Dorothy "Dee" Hammond of Pensecola, FL, Sandy Hammond (Delinda) of Colorado and Rachel Coats Greer of Memphis, TN; and his former wife Linda Fulghum (Michael) of Byron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
