He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Reese Armstrong, Sr. and Leo English Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Martha Wilson Armstrong; his son Jimmy Armstrong (Dianna) of Sandersville; and his grandsons, Michael Amerson and Wilson Armstrong.
