He is survived by: his wife Esther; his children, George Shaffer of Mesquite Nevada, Ron Shaffer (Julie) of Mesquite Nevada and Heidi Howard (Steve) of Roswell Georgia; his daughter-in-law Cris Shaffer of Erie Colorado; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Winnick (Charlie), Wayne Shaffer, Deric Shaffer and Luke Howard.
