He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Thomas and Barbara Jean Faith Sanford. He is survived by: his daughters, Brooke (Jimmy Hedden) and Davetta Sanford Porter of Ashville, NC; his siblings-in-law, Mary, Mervin Greene of Resaca, GA and Deborah Sexton of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Monica Jones of Clarksville, TN, Matthew Jones of Dalton, GA, Aaron Porter of Greensboro, NC and Sophie Porter of Ashville, NC; and his great grandchild Avin Boone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517 in honor of Sgt. Garry Sanford.
