He was predeceased by: his wife Waurega Louise Collins; his parents, Robert Collins and Prudie Bell Collins; and his siblings, Robert Collins, Ed Collins, Glen Collins, Dalphus Collins, Frank Collins, Mary Ruth Bryant, Mattie Defore and Olar Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Darryl (Sandra Collins), Ernest (Patty Collins), Waymon (Jennifer Collins), John (Joletta Collins) and LaGretta Sexton; his son-in-law Tim Sexton of Resaca; and his brother Charles Roberts of Dalton. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
