He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Stanley and Senie "Bell" Dean Stanley; his wife Catherine Stanley; his siblings, Ralph Stanley, Jay Stanley, Calvin Stanley, Clayton Stanley, Ruby Gravitt, May Dupree and Gladys Hyde; and his great grandchild David E. Holden.
He is survived by: his daughter Gail Holden (Rickey); his sister Inez Boswell; his grandchildren, Wayne Holden (Rebecca), Ann Holden and Bonnie Holden; his great grandchildren, Patricia Dell Dutton (Eli), Rena Holden, Rachel Holden and Sarah Holden; and his great great grandchild Rae Dutton.
