He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Reed and Mattie Ray Reed; his wife Myrtle Williams Reed; and his siblings, Hershel Emery Reed, Roy Parker Reed, Hessie Reed, Hazel Christine Reed Raines and Runette Parker.
He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Reed of Chatsworth, David Mitchell Reed of Resaca and Randy Lee Reed of Calhoun; his daughters-in-law, Angie Reed, Diane Reed and Rose Ann Cox; his brother Howard Lee Reed of Fort Worth, TX; and his close friend Lou Hill. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
