She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Chitwood and Dora Keene Chitwood; her husband Claude Edward Franks; her son Gerald Franks; and her grandson Michael Willix.
She is survived by: her children, Reed (Janet Franks), Judy (Rick Davenport), Rachel Gallman (Paul Parker) and Lamar Franks (Carla Hix); her siblings, Jean Hefner and Wynette Gazaway of Rocky Face; her grandchildren, David (Susan Peeler), Russell Gallman, Bruce (Kayla Franks), Jamie (Nichole Franks) and Jody Davenport; her great grandchildren, Cody, Hayley Peeler, Molly Peeler, Jake Peeler, Aubrey, Allie Gallman, Liberty Franks, Athens Davenport, Sawyer Franks and Kathrynn Stockman; and her grandsons, Reverend David Peeler and Reverend Jamie Franks. She is also survived by one great-great-grandchild due in September; many nieces and nephews.
