He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Pearson and Laliae Roberts Seay; his wife Betty Rich Seay; his son Daniel Seay; his granddaughter Victoria Seay; his great grandchildren, Noah and Della; his stepdaughters, Debra Beatty, Stephanie Beatty (Chuck) and Terri Hodgson; his stepgrandchildren, Libby Waller, Jared Waller (Anna), Jordy Davison (Mindy), Kyle Davison, Avery Simmons (Dorothy), Melissa Lowe (Zach), Dustin Dorsey and Nick Dorsey; his sister Marsha Seay McKendree (Larry); and his cousin Carey Roberts.
