He was predeceased by: his father Frederick E. Smith, Sr.; his siblings, Frederick E. Smith, Jr., Anita S. Davis and Carolyn S. Duncan; and his brothers-in-law, Chuck Duncan, Kenny Davis and Sonny Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Barre Smith; his sons, Timothy (Julie Smith), Marc (Melissa Smith) and Bentley (Melody Smith); his grandchildren, Jessica, Evan, Katie, Rebecca, Mara, Samuel, Allie and Caden; his stepgrandson Tyler VanHorn; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Henry, Gabriella and Oliver; his sisters, Jane S. Smith, Linda S. Werntz (Gilly) and Barbara S. Mordecai (Billy); and his sister-in-law Connie Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Pooler First Baptist Church Building Fund, 204 Hwy 80 W., Pooler, GA 31322.
