He is survived by: his wife Janet Thacker James; his mother Charlotte James; his children, Justin, Jerod, Joshua James and Rebecca James; his grandson Caspian Kye James; and his sisters, Cheryl Gollihugh (Tommy) and Karen Wilson (Gray). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in his memory.
