With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anthony Di Benedetto of Pooler, Georgia, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on April 3, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vito Benedetto and Sadie Vitale Di Benedetto; and his brother Joseph Di Benedetto. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Di Benedetto; his children, Anthony Di Benedetto, Gregory Di Benedetto, Noelle Di Benedetto, Carrie Di Benedetto, Raven Di Benedetto and Alexander Di Benedetto; and his stepchildren, Freddie Davis and Whitney Davis. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.

“I met Tony in 1976 at the 13th St Playhouse. He was performing in a Israel Horovitz play called LINE with a girlfriend of mine. A year later, on the movie set of SHORT EYES, the director asked me if I knew of somebody to be the "main man" in my circle. A street smart, hard scrabble, stand up guy. I immediately thought of Tony. He came, won the director over and we became fast friends. My condolences to his family. He's missed...Joseph Thomas Carberry”
