It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jeanette Chastain (Ochlocknee, Georgia), born in Poulan, Georgia, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Shiver and Thelma Hamilton Shiver; her husband Wallace Chastain; her son Kenneth Chastain; and her sisters, Delma (Roy Chastain) and Jessy (Burness Chastain).
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Roberson (David) of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Shawn Chastain (Tiara), Brandon Roberson (Tanya), Christopher Snyder (Emily) and Casey Stanford (Josh); and her sister Geneva McGarrah (Billy). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
