He was predeceased by: his parent Lamar Kenneth Hayes; his wife Sandra Barker Hayes; and his brothers, Kenneth Hayes and Freddie Hayes. He is survived by: his children, Ricky Hayes (Renee) of Norman Park, Eddie Hayes (Jerri) of Quitman and Renee Hayes of Quitman; his siblings, Donald Hayes (Kathy) of Quitman and Simmie Hayes Sutton (Joe) of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Michael Hayes, Haden Hayes, Macy Hayes, Trey Wilson, Chelsey Foreman, Joel Beaty and Christi Beaty; and his great grandchildren, Melanie Stevens, Landon Hayes, Theo Hayes and Harlen Hayes.
