We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2024, at the age of 86, Harold E. Covey of Norman Park, Georgia, born in Waldron, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Emerson Covey and Oletha Fondessy Covey; his stepmother Irene Covey; his grandson Christopher Earl Gay; and his sister Darlene Covey.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Griffin Covey of Norman Park; his children, Leigh Covey of Guyton, Georgia, Heidi Simpson (Tim) of Chinquapin, NC, Hal Covey (Siobhan) of Christchurch, Chris Covey (Tina) of Richmond Hill, Sherri Strickland (Pastor Eugene) of Norman Park, Sheila Wright (Eugene) of Honea Path, SC and Sonya Giddings (Eric Hall) of Norman Park; his brother Tim Covey of Ohio; and his stepsister Mary Lou Henry (Dan) of Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
