He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Elton Harrod and Myrtice Lucille Baker Harrod; his sister Delorse Watkins; and his brothers-in-law, Pierce LeFevre and Jim Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bates Harrod of Norman Park; his children, Patrick Wayne Harrod (Jana) of Valdosta, Suzanne McAlpin of Tifton and Michelle Godwin (Mark) of Valdosta; his siblings, Stanley Harrod (Becky) of Norman Park and Brenda LeFevre of Montgomery, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Anna Beth Harrod, Lucy Grace Harrod, Trentyn Harrod, Peyton Haas (Tom), Hannah McAlpin and Chandler Grimes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a private family graveside at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
