He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Christina Gaskins Turner and Dr. W. W. Turner, Jr.; his grandparents, Frances Josephine Peeples Gaskins, Alvah W. Gaskins of Nashville, Georgia, William Waugh Turner and Ruth Solom Dorman Turner of Winnsboro; his sisters, Joan Elaine Cantrell and Alethea Christina Turner; his pets, Ghia (Doberman Pincher), Reddick (Border Collie) of Clepsydra, Preto Bubba (Golden), Lang Ko (Chow Chow), Gelert, Wiregrass (Coonhound), Tomba (Maremma) and Isildur (German Shepherd); his spouse Henry Patten; his nieces, Joan "Jo" Cantrell Goldin (late David) of Townsend and Elizabeth "Liz" McCusker (Peter) of Nantucket; his great-nephew William Turner Oliver (Kelly Wegel); his great-nieces, Lindsay Joan Crowder, Merry Elizabeth Crowder (Trevor Neal) and Perrin Elizabeth McCusker; and also Noah James Neal (Wenda Gaile Bailey).
