It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Edwin Flanders of Nashville, Georgia, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley Flanders and Irene Gray Flanders; his son Lewis Keith Flanders; and his siblings, Elizabeth Akins, Wilma Jones, Dalpha Giddens, James Flanders and Charles Flanders.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Avera Flanders of Nashville; his children, Kathy Flanders of Nashville, Karen McEldowney (late Jason) of Nashville and Gabe Flanders (Darlene) of Hartley, TX; his siblings, Jordan Flanders of Alapaha and Ella Mae Nugent of Alapaha; and his grandchildren, Travis, Heidi Brown, Dawn Walker (Josh), Larry Godwin (Ellen), David Godwin (Tonya), Denise Harrell (Larry Wayne), Dakota Flanders (Kayla), Brandon Flanders (Megan), Amanda Coody (Blake) and Mercedes Miller. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
