Laurene Taylor Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2022, at the age of 92, Laurene Taylor of Nashville, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laurene Taylor to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Moses Nelms and Mattie Persons Nelms; her spouse Jerry Windell "J. W." Taylor; her son Flick Windell Taylor; her daughter-in-law Cindy Garvin Taylor; and her siblings, Tecumseh, Will, Rex, John Brooks, Bruce Nelms of Nashville, Ruby Nelms Luke and Louise Nelms Baldree.

She is survived by: her children, Billy Carson Taylor and Valiree Sophia Lightsey of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Wendee Ackerman (Steve) of California, April Simmons (Chris) of Nashville and Shanna Barfield (Gerry) of Nashville; and her great grandchildren, Dakota, Camryn, Cannon, Gracie, Savannah, Tucker and Abbie. She is also survived by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
