She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester David Shaw and Louise Dickson Shaw; her husband Marcus Newton "Mark" Hughes; and her daughter Marcia Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Lou Harris (Mike) of Dickinson, TX and Newt Hughes (Sissi) of Nashville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Nashville First Baptist Church or the Langdale Hospice House.
