She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Johns and Lula Mae Allen Johns; her husband Leonard Carlton Nettles, Jr.; her grandson Andre Mariscal; her siblings, Lamar Johns, Wayne Leon Johns, Virginia Ann Johns and Glenda Mae Davis; her niece Valerie Smith; and her brother-in-law Mike Herrin.
She is survived by: her children, Lindsey Howell (Spencer) of Folkston, Serena Mariscal of Nahunta, Macie Johns of Nahunta, Lynsey Johns of Nahunta and C. J. Johns of Nahunta; her grandchildren, Alliana Howell, Bayleigh Howell, Colbie Howell, Ridley Howell and Chandler Mariscal; and her sisters, Sue White (Charles) of Hickox, Wanda Mohandespour (Jim) of Bachlott and Drene Herrin of Hickox.
