He is survived by: his wife Jane Smith Barton of Thomasville; his daughters, Robbie Sloan (Larry) of Moultrie, Volina McClain of Moultrie, Barbara Morris (Royce) of Blue Ridge, GA and Lequita Bennett of Deltona, FL; his grandchildren, Donnie Roberts (Ashley), Jessica Thomas (Michael), Donna Evert (Harry), Dee Taylor (Joe), Gayle Rose (Bill), Michael Morris (Mandy), Nancy East, Alton Cobb, Rebecca Lawrence, Derrick Cobb and Billy Boyd (Ginger); his great grandchildren, Trey Roberts, Mackenzie Roberts, Jeremy Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Christina Woods (Derrick), Misty Coffey (Peter) and Christy Riley (Nolan); his stepchildren, Todd Strickland, Kylie Strickland, Scott Strickland, Lewis Matthews, Elaine Barrett and Elizabeth Adams; and his siblings, Glenn Barton (Linda) of Clermont, FL, Faye Burnham (Darrell) of Moultrie, Betty Hall of Moultrie and Elizabeth Barton of Moultrie.
