With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Toby Devane (Moultrie, Georgia), who passed away on April 13, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kissam Parrish DeVane and Eula Mae Nix DeVane; his wife Ann Hill DeVane; his great grandchild Ashton Thomas Lindsay; and his brothers, Kay DeVane and Donald DeVane.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jo Ann DeVane Lindsay (Roger) of Moultrie, GA and Alanna DeVane Slightom (Larry) of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, Daniel Lindsay (Robin) of Moultrie, GA, Justin Lindsay (Allie) of Barney, GA, Giniann Slightom Forrester (David) of Winston-Salem, NC, Andrew Slightom and Sarah Downing of Albuquerque, NM; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Lindsay, Sarah Lindsay, Tobie Lindsay, Brady Lindsay, Charlie Lindsay, Annalee Forrester and Benjamin Forrester; his sister Betty DeVane Hancock of Nashville, GA; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bella Griffith and Jay Griffith; and also Kisstina Herring.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside rites will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating.
