She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Herring and Victoria Purvis Herring; and her sisters, Deloris Gutherie Sample and Bluis Gutherie. She is survived by: her sisters, Rita Herring of Moultrie and Deen Gutherie Miller (Sefton) of Ponce; and her nephew Lieutenant Colonel Sean Brazel of Tampa. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
