He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Opal Boyd and Rebecca Young Boyd; and his siblings, Ellie Will Sadler, Ramsella Cowles and Louie Odom.
He is survived by: his wife Freddie Franklin Boyd of Moultrie; his sons, Alan Boyd (Jessica) of Moultrie and Brent Boyd of Savannah; his brother Dr. Jack Boyd (Shirley) of Sharpsburg, Georgia; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Boyd, Clayton Jack Boyd and Georgia Boyd; and his niece Sandy Milleman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
