She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Stafford and Ida Belle Pyles Stafford; her husband Hoke Eugene "Gene" Lashley; and her siblings, Earl Stafford, Sonny Stafford, Morris Stafford, Clyde "Bo" Stafford, Debbie Woodlief, Louise Gaines, Eloise Whitley and Linda Stafford.
She is survived by: her children, Dewayne McAlpin (LeAnne) of Tifton, GA, Chris McAlpin (Shannon) of Moultrie and Gwen Chitty (Joey) of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Kimberly Hall, Keith Freeman, Austin McAlpin (Kirsten), Dustin McAlpin, Peyton McAlpin, Hannah McAlpin and Bailey Chitty; her great grandchildren, Hayden Freeman and Levi Lucky; and her brother Richard Stafford of Anchorage, AL..
