We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2020, at the age of 93, Cora Busbee Chalkley Rice of Moultrie, Georgia, born in Poulan, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Agustus T. Busbee and Carrie Ione Busbee; her former husband Douglas H. Chalkley, Sr.; her husband B. Floyd Rice; and her siblings, Bessie Crawley, William Busbee, Irvin Busbee and Charles Busbee.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas H. Chalkley, Jr. (Rose) of Lyford, TX and J. M. "Jim" Chalkley (Brenda) of Moultrie; and her grandchildren, Janna, Karal Hall of Moultrie, J. M., Lyn Chalkley of Panama City, FL, Jennifer, Tim Glenn of Valdosta, Sarah Chalkley Holt of Moultrie, Robert, Christina Norman and Jessica McDaniel of Valdosta. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
