It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christine Tyler Somerindyke (Moultrie, Georgia), born in Ellenton, Georgia, who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hobby and Mary Vann Hobby; and her son Victor P. Chitty. She is survived by: her husband Pete Somerindyke of Moultrie, GA; her children, Kelvin M. Chitty of Moultrie, GA, Nancy Fitch of Moultrie, GA, Karen Chitty McCardle of Moultrie, GA, Charles Somerindyke of Atlanta and John Somerindyke of Moultrie, GA; her sister Grace T. Davidson of Warner Robins, GA; and her grandchildren, Michael Chitty, Maria, Ashley Walden, Chad, Morgan Richards, Angela McCardle, Allison McCardle and Parker Somerindyke. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside rites will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Sardis Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Purvis officiating.
