He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harold Hicks and Mildred Childers Hicks; and his brother Lester Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Ensley (Daniel Plott), Heidi (Brad Stewart), Walela (Colton Lovell) and Daniel Hicks (Carolyn Patterson) of Blairsville; his sisters, Ginny Henderson of Loganville, GA., Shirley Morgan of Loganville, GA. and Patricia (Michael Wunder); and his grandchildren, Riley Turpin, Jonathan Stewart, Lillian Plott, Aaron Ensley, Braydon Lovell, Carson Lovell, Grady Plott, Cade Stewart and Reagan Lovell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to any favorite children's hospital in Dennis's memory.
