It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Gilmer Benefield (Moreland, Georgia), who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Harold Benefield; her son Hardy Simpson; her mother Doreen Gilmer; her brother William Gilmer; her children, Lawson Benefield (Leslie) and Maggie Galbraith (Andrew); and her granddaughters, Vivian, Allison and Noelle. She was also cherished by Her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins were not merely extended family.
