She was predeceased by: her parents, John Earl Rainwater and Mattie Thomas "Tommie" Hines Rainwater (Albert Houston); her sons, Randy Houston and John Houston; her brother Joe Rainwater; her nephew George Rainwater; and her friend Frances Stephens Moore.

She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Adams; her grandchildren, Brian Houston, Corey Adams (Allison), Casey Adams (Amanda), Jennifer Houston, Jordan Shelby, Justin Shelby, Kevin Rainwater, Sherri Rainwater and Jenna Rainwater; her great grandchildren, Corey Adams II, Alex Houston, Ayden Houston, Olivia Adams and Campbell Adams; her great great grandchild Remi Shelby; and her friend Frances Carpenter Jones.
