She was predeceased by: her parents, Fritz Garttner and Barbara Luise Battenstein Garttner; her husband Jack W. Griffin; her grandson Chad Griffin; her brother Dieter Garttner; and her son-in-law Timothy R. Kruta.
She is survived by: her children, Sabine G. Kruta of Sarasota, FL and Jack W. Griffin, Jr. (Terri) of Milledgeville; her granddaughters, Barbara Kristine Kruta of Brooklyn, NY and Crystal Purvis of Savannah; and her brother Udo Saldeitis. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
