He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lamar Moats and Dorothy Frances Butts Lamb; and his sisters, Paulette Oliver, Jackie Roberts and Connie Williford.
He is survived by: his children, Austin Moats of Gray and Selena Brook Moats of Gray; his fiancée Leila Meadows of Milledgeville; and his siblings, Bubba Moats (Debra), Jean Oliver (Chet), Annette Anderson, Debra Taylor (Mark), Judy Johnson (Terry), Kathy Spear (Jim), Donna House and Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives.
