She was predeceased by: her parents, Lamar Gibson Broome and Pearl Jeanette Wright Broome; her husbands, Joel Knighton and Paul Hurt; and her son Joel Knighton, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Knighton (Julie) of Milledgeville and Glen Knighton of Perry; her grandchildren, Shane Knighton, Amy Phillips, Kelly Leverette and Skyler Knighton; and her great grandchildren, Katie, Nathan, Joelly, Kason, Eli, Avery and John Pate (Jasper Crooms).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church.
