He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Monroe, Jr. (Natasha), Valerie Brantley (Charles), Michelle Solomon, Bryan Monroe, Barry Monroe (Jennifer) and Sean Monroe (Linda); and his siblings, Renee Thomas, Lisa Arpasi, Mike Monroe and Marc Monroe. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
