He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Edward Meeks and Annie W. Miller Meeks; and his brother Jimmy Lee Meeks, Sr.. He is survived by: his son Chad Meeks (Jolie) of Gray; his sister Belinda Christensen (Key) of Milledgeville; his grandchildren, Jessie Mullis (Dusty), Chad Jr., Destinie, Savannah, Jolee, Brian and Julian; his nieces, Tasha Brett (Clay) and Jennifer Meeks; his nephew Jimmy Lee Meeks, Jr. (Caroline); and his sister-in-law Janice Meeks. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
