He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Wade and Zona Bell Jones Gibson; his wife Barbara Jean Gibson of Wrightsville; his son Stanley Ernest Gibson (Peggy) of Milledgeville; his sister Eunice Rose (Eigle) of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Lee Gibson (Laura), Amanda Thigpen, Michael Couey (Elizabeth) and Kelly Eley (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Natalie Gibson, Austin Gibson, Jasmine Smith, Zona Belle Thigpen, Dyllon Couey, Dustin Couey, Evan Ellis and Emma Ellis.
