He is survived by: his wife Ruthild Pinero of Milledgeville; his sons, Dionisio S. Pinero of Lyons and Heiko E. Pinero of Newport News, VA; and his siblings, Fe Fortson of Elberton, Niceta Brown of Lilburn, Monina Pinero, Nahuma Pinero and Nick Pinero. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
