It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara L Atchison (Milledgeville, Georgia), who passed away on April 3, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. William Reuben Atchison, Jr.; her parents, John Albert Layfield and Susie Mae Alford Layfield; and her siblings, Myrtice Daniels, Nora Horne, Martha Mosher, Lily Layfield, Rev. John Willis Layfield and Albert Layfield.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Atchison Martin (David) of Haddock; her grandchildren, Bridget Martin Ivey (Marshall) of Milledgeville and Richard Martin (Taylor) of Milledgeville; her great grandchildren, Tucker Ivey, Emerson Ivey, Luke Ivey and Charlotte Ivey; her brother Otis Layfield (Bobbie); and her sister-in-law Sara Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, P.O. Box 367, Hardwick, GA 31034.
