He was predeceased by: his parents, John Athey and Olive Athey (Tooky); and his sister Shelley Adams. He is survived by: his son Christian Athey (Stephanie) of Avon Lake; his siblings, Candy Adams of Vermilion Ohio and Bob Athey (LuAnn) of Vermilion; and his grandsons, Austin, Carter and Brody. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
