He was predeceased by: his parents, Watfa Makhoul and Yousef Makhoul; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his spouse Enaam "Ann" Makool; his children, Joseph "Joe" Makool, Elie "Lee" Makool and Joannie Vatistas (John); his grandchildren, Ian, Molli, Zack, Sophia and Alaina; his great grandchildren, Liam, Allen, Xander and Dana; his siblings, Mouneer and Sami; and his close friend Dr. Mike Rabie. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery (2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor John's legacy with a moment of generosity or laughter in his memory. Donations can also be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, an organization that reflects John's generous and giving spirit.
