She was predeceased by: her son Mark Anthony Smith IV; her parents, Lucy and Elmer; her brother William "Bill" Browning; her uncle William Sanford Landrum; her in-laws, Lurline and Mark Anthony Smith Jr.; and her son-in-law Stephen O'Brien.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Anthony Smith III; her son Michael Alan Smith; her sister Judy Browning Cowin (Tim); her in-laws, Leila and Richard "Dick" Doll; her nieces, Angie Gribble (Gabe) and Angelynn Doll (Eric Howe); her nephew Richard "DJ" Doll (Christy Pullara); her great-niece Smith Howe; and her great-nephews, Dylan Yoder, Canon Gribble, Ryder and Mason Doll.
