She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Slaughter and Bessie Carbine Slaughter; her husband Raymond Simmons; and her son-in-law David Long. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Long, Wanda Rutherford (Lenny), Rayna Pruett (James), Theresa Braun (Paul), Raymond Simmons (Andrea) and Danny Simmons (Kim). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
