He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Maddox and Bertha Price Maddox; his sister Joyce Thompson; and his former wife Betty Ann Johnson Maddox. He is survived by: his children, James Maddox of Loganville, Patsy Perdue (Tommy) of Loganville, Peggy Maddox of Commerce and Tanya Tompkins (Jimmy) of Loganville; his grandchildren, Christopher Maddox, Matthew Maddox, Chelsea Perdue, Madison Berell, Katlyn Ledford, John Morgan and Chasity Tompkins; his sisters, Louise Green and Betty Jean Watkins; and his brother-in-law Steve Thompson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
