He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Jones and Edgar Weyman Moon; his siblings, Maxon Edgar Moon, W. Ray Moon, Billy George Moon, Lynette Hattie Moon Cox and Doris J. Moon Bennett; and his great grandchild Blakely McCart.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lee Moon; and his children, Ted (Nancy Moon), Steve (Lynn Moon), Greg (Bonnie Moon), Sheila (Tony McCart) and Sherry (Steve Williams). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
